The Gerbera Pappus Ballet performs the Seed Fluff.

Yesterday I went to this ballet performance.

Outstanding choreography with new young stars.

Actually, it's just the seeds of gerbera flowers you are looking at.
Pretty astonishing, don't you think?

Female snowy owls 

are marked with dark bars.

are nearly all white.

Male length : 52 - 64 cm.

 Male weight : 0.7 - 2.5 kg.

Above the Cemetery of the Benedictine Monastery of St. Peter, 
the Salzburg Catacombs are carved into the walls 
of the Mönchsberg rock face.
The catacombs were an early Christian place of worship and hermitage,
presumable dating from the 3rd and 4th centuries AD.

Brief history :
3rd century   oldest parts of the Maximushöhle built.

847                 more caves built.

1178               church Gertraudiskapelle                                   consecrated.

The adjoining St. Peter's cemetery includes among many others, the graves of

Marianne Mozart, sister of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and

Johann Michael Haydn, brother of Joseph (Josef) Haydn.

Stairway to heaven?

Unfortunately, due to lack of time, 
but also partly because of the lack of a tripod, 

these photos are not completely sharp.

However, the candlelight creates exactly an insanely perfect atmosphere.

The snow has melted

So here are some wintery pictures.

 There is nothing more pristine and serene 
 than a landscape covered in a blanket of snow.
  
And despite the fact that I liked it to temporarily  
live on another planet shrouded in that treacherous white stuff,

I am just as happy again with the snow-free roads 
on my own known and trusted planet.
