Hotel / Pension zum Türken,
Located at an altitude of 1000 m (3300 ft.)
Obersalzberg, Berchtesgaden.
From the hotel you can reach the access to the
Berghof Bunker / Air-raid shelter system.
NOTE :
It is forbidden to photograph (or to film)
both inside and outside (privat ground).
For that reason I left my camera (Casio EX-FH25) in the car.
So, time for my spy camera (Olympus VG-160).
Normally I wouldn`t do that, but come on..., this was too good to be true.
But I apologize in advance for the poor quality of the pictures.
Hmmmm...,
It seems
to me that you
received a
warm welcome.
Around the corner you will find another staircase :
I've seen this before, again a very warm welcome :
The Panzerfaust (lit. "armor fist" or "tank fist", plural: Panzerfäuste) was a cheap, single shot, recoilless German anti-tank weapon of World War II (Wikipedia).
Eery...
Well, let's take a look up there.
Snapshot
I don`t think they invited you for a cup of tea :
LEFT ALONE WITH THE DEMONS IN TOTAL DARKNESS :
Look at the next picture, with the following in mind ;
at that moment I stood there all alone.
A friend and I went into the bunker, we were at that time
the only 2 people down there.
While I quietly looked around, my friend ran like crazy through
the bunker complex,
occasionally shouting at me that I had to come over to
wherever he was and look at something.
There was no light in here, so I had to wait for 2 decades
(in real time 2 seconds)
until the flash-light from my camera gave sufficient light to create an image.
And all this time I had to stay calm,
during that time I listened to falling drops
and water that seemed to seep into this part of the bunker.
(Also tried to ignore my noisy friend).
Spooky, spooky, spooky...
Perfect location for a horror movie.
PRISON CELLS
Burnt out after the bombing.
(But recently painted black).
Breathtaking view :
If I get in trouble for publishing these photos,
then you know at least in what prison I sit.
Maybe you`ll sometimes think of me,
hopefully you will send me a postcard now and then.
Or a letter.
And of course chocolate.
Oh yeah, don`t forget to send wallpaper,
something with lots of colors, but no floral print.
My heartiest thanks in advance.
